Nickmercs was born on November 21, 1990, in Michigan, USA. He knew early on as a kid that he wanted to pursue a path in gaming. His career as a professional gamer began when he joined the TH3 NSAN3Z squad. With their Gears of Wars skills, this team went on to win tournaments at MLG Dr. Pepper, MLG Anaheim, and the National Championship at MLG Orlando.
In 2011, he established his Youtube channel wherein he posted content on “Call of Duty” and “Outlast”. Having gained a massive fanbase from his time as a Gears of War player, he began his streaming career in 2012 on Justin.tv (now known as Twitch). His popularity shot up when he started streaming “Call of Duty” on Twitch full time in 2013.
In 2016, Nickmercs became part of the start-up eSports organization, “100 Thieves”. A year later, he began streaming Fortnite full-time on his platform. His stature as a gamer skyrocketed when his team broke the world record for total kills in Fortnite with 54. Along with fellow gamer SypherPK, he won the first “Fortnite Friday”.
2018 ended up being a milestone season for Nickmercs. That year, he officially became the 12th Twitch streamer to reach 3 million followers.
