In 2012, he became a double gold medalist when he won the Slopestyle and Big Air competitions at the Winter X Games in Aspen. It wasn’t long before this already decorated snowboarder would add an Olympic medal to his list of accomplishments. McMorris scored bronze for Slopestyle at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
He continued his winning streak at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, where he was awarded another bronze medal for slopestyle and finished in 10th place for Big Air.
At the 2020 X Games in Norway, McMorris scored a gold medal for Big Air — bringing this legendary snowboarder’s X medals to a staggering total of 20.
